The Voice

This video was extracted from The Voice UK Season 1, a British television talented show. Toni Warne is one of the participants to go through the "Blind" audition. She had to sing a song in front of everyone and the four judges - Will.i.am, Jessie J, Tom and Danny. The four judges had to face back and only allowed to listen to the participant's voice. They will have to decide whether to press the button before the end of the song. By pressing the button, it means that they are satisfied with their voice and eager to coach the participants. If many of them press the button, the participants can choose the coach they want to work with.

Toni Warne sang Leave Right Now for the audition. When she walked onto the stage, I was surprised to see her appearance. However, when she started to sing, I had goose-bumps. She is unbelievably good and has a good voice. After the whole performance, all the judges faced to the front. The three judges who pressed the button were Jessie J, Tom and Danny. Then, Toni told everyone more about herself. She suffers from Alopecia which caused her to lose all her hair. Even though she is bald, she still looks beautiful. At the beginning, she do not have confidence to sing in front of many people despite her condition. However, she took the move and sang in the audition. In the end, she chose Jessie J to work with.

She has moved and inspired us with her story. That is something that we can learn from her. Someday, we will have to gain courage and pursue what we really want. -Winni
