Once again, national day is coming! 9auguest remember? Here is the theme song for 2012. Have a look! ^^
This year theme song was sung by Olivia Ong together with 7 year old Natanya Tan. “Loving Singapore, our home” was this year theme. Despite living overseas, Olivia felt that she could relate to the song. Can you relate to this song too? The lyrics were meaningful and heart-warming. It depicts a sense of belonging and love for the country. The cute little girl, Natanya is super talented! Seven years old performing for an ndp song, can you believe it?
Anyways, i love the chorus! It goes: “I love my city's lively ways, warm sunny days” An enjoyable song to listen to! Do you all like the song like I do? :)
P.s The song was not as catchy as before but hey at least it’s sung by Olivia! Wouldn’t it be difficult for citizens to sing along during national day? I would say that there would definitely be barrier but we can overcome it together by singing it multiple times! Practise makes perfect.
